My most putrid moment: What's worse than morning sickness? Finding out that roughly (or smoothly) in 2008, that a few Burbank police dept. officers were having sex in their vehicles with the hookers they were supposed to be investigating. Checking to see if their prices were worthy? Sounds like there should've been an internal audit. πŸ˜‚πŸ€’

Worst fear: besides dying alone, calling BPD for a watch commander, detective, or patrol unit only to find out that I'm talking to one of the officers that had sex with a hooker in his car (they're still up there I heard). #TN

Best moments of exhilaration: plane take off, roller coasters, '91, the first sip of a Starbucks cappuccino, first bite of a Giamela's sandwich

Cars I owned: VW beetle, Mazda truck, Toyota hatchback, Nissan 300zx, Toyota camry

Life highlights:

Elementary school: George Washington: Speech therapy, log cabin crafts, my dad driving by and waving to me at lunch time 😭, Kennedy assisinations, Brownies and Girl Scouts, Softball, bowling, spelling bee, charity work, sunday school, my feet, ankles, legs being swollen, being locked out of the house, sneaking to the library, hit by a car, my mom punching me in the nose of throwing shit at me, winning 2 tickets to magic mountain, softball (no know that being swollen was due to dehydration and shaking after fruit ... diabetes?)

Middle school:

John Muir: Randy Rhoads, Poetry, Music, Nuni passing away and my dad crying 😭, softball, selling candy, girl scouts & cadets, classical music, father-daughter box social, breaking my leg, always being grounded and getting the shit kicked out of me. smh. Having to wear men's pants because my inseam was too long for girl's pants, waffle stompers, wallabies, crush on Bill C. Spanish and Science; I think I failed sewing πŸ€”. Everyday, starting when I was in the 7th grade, a 9th grader would play "Suite Judy Blue Eyes" by CSNY on the cafeteria jukebox at John Muir. If you are that person xoxoxox 😘.

High School:

Burbank High: Softball, volleyball, Bio TA Mr. Haynes, drinking (when my friends and I drank, we often pulled over anywhere, to pee. As I look back I am grateful there weren't any police helicopters, overhead, trying to "cop" a look (My hoa things have changed), selling dope, summer softball, driver's license, parties on Grinnell, driving the get-away car for streakers, my parent's divorce, dropping out, my first date (saw a movie that my cousin was in) lol, lots of slumber parties, cruising Van Nuys Blvd. Moving to gram's house.

Places I'd Like to Visit: Poland, Romania, Galapagos Islands

Sober: 07.05.1982

Married 3x ... ugh, I know ... but ... from what I have read, from cop testimonials on social media, most will retire from the police force with 2-3 marriages, and lots of alimony and child support under their belt. πŸ€”πŸ€‘

Kidlet #1 Mallory & Kidlet #2 Mack 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 miss them so much

2020: Having the Burbank Police Dept, drive down Griffith Park Drive, slowly with all lights off on their patrol car, while pointing an assault rifle at me; red laser beam on. Probably the only time those boots will touch an AR, unless it's to kill innocent, vulnerable wildlife like deer and bitds (no, not rabbits; they use their bird to drop drugs on me to complete that job). #TN

Things that might surprise people about me:

I had speech therapy early on in grammar school because I could not pronounce "R" & "S". I actually sounded like I was from Boston with a lisp. Yep! Perhaps this explains my overuse of the "F" word ... no "R" or "S". πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I use to cut class to go home and watch "Sherlock Holmes" and movies with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. I met Ginger, in the late 80s, when I saw her in "Anything goes", I cried.

I dropped out of school, in 10th grade, thanks to my parents making me the adult in their divorce. Nonetheless, even without a formal education in English I always placed high on college exams along with an extensive vocabulary because I started reading at a young age as well as doing crossword puzzles.

My mom would either send me to my room or ground me, so I read. By age 8 I was reading college level  classic literature. I used to climb out my bedroom window and go to the library and read Nancy Drew and other mystery novels. Mom never knew I had left the house. smh.

I can imitate Mr. Ed πŸ΄πŸ˜‚

I once drank 24mugs of beer in 90 minutes 🍺 (It's true, I have a rho for competing with men).

I love men's clothing ... wife beater t-shirts, Levi 501s, baggy plaid boxer shorts

My butterfly tattoo (11.03) at Monkeys to go by one of Korn's tattoo artists, is 100% inspired by the song, Mariposa, by Mana. I found out in sobriety that I'd rather have a string of affairs than relationships; easier, quicker and not as messy as relationships like marriage. So, like a butterfly I go from man to man. At least I'm honest, more than I can say about some people.

I have always been emotional and a cryer. Every Sunday night, at my grandparents, I would watch Lassie and at the end of the show she would raise her paw to the closing theme song. Turns out my mom was friends with the daughter of Lassie's trainer; Rudd & Joanne Weatherwax. I got to go to their home and meet the Weatherwaxes and Lassie. And yes, I cried. Oh Gawd, I found it 😭😭😭😭😭😭

In ??? I sat on Jerry Brown's lap, at a fundraiser, for his presidential campaign; $500 a seat. πŸ™„ I was drunk, sooooo, guess that will give PD another tidbit to obliterate for my file ... "she's attracted to presidential candidates". smh.

                           ###

My dad's nanny was Mexicana, oh yes. So, growing up my dad would always make chorizo y juevos; andy mom always had green hot sauce on the table (where it all started).

My adopted dad, in the 1940s, auditioned for the role of the chubby kid on Little Rascals 🀣 Yea, he looked just like him, too!

Bake sales ... ya, duh, if you're a mom you get roped in to it lol

Sunday school child care ... cannot remember all of it, there's more

Notable memories:

Dinner w/BPD in his patrol car, 3x, no sex though because we both had scruples, morals, and class .... unlike the BPD today and the past 15 years.

Affair with LAPD

CHP waving to me.

LAPD puliing me over as a joke πŸ˜‚

Being detained by LASD at Pitchess because my partner didn't have his ID 😬 Sgt. Broscia; she don't play πŸ˜‚

Leaving downtown Starbucks with a hunch that I might be pregnant

♥πŸ˜πŸ‘©πŸ‘Ό

Hearing Mal sing for the first time πŸ€”πŸ˜²πŸ˜€πŸ˜

Breaking my left leg in 2 places, being homeschooled and getting to watch the Orioles win the WS!! (so worth it!)

Cultures: Well shit, I love them all! Buuuuut, Italians & Mexicanos are my #1; any of the "We" cultures unlike "I" American culture. Growing up I saw my Nuni and other Italian female family members team up in the kitchen, while the men hung out in the parlor. But the women in my mom's family were expected to do it alone, or bring a dish. There was no teaming up, like how tamales or perrogies are made. There was always underhand talk about the women in my family that never hosted Thanksgiving or Christmas or couldn't manage to get it together; cook and host.

Of all the Mexicanas, that I have met, they seem to be "Be everything to everyone", I totally relate to this and see myself as this way.

So, African Americans, right up there in my top 5. I thought about this over the past 24 hours, so I could word it correctly. My mom adored and idolized African Americans; for their music and dance, rhythym and rhyme, sports, comedy, and politics. Her friends in school were Black and she gravitated to them at her job; because they never, ever judged her for singing or dancing. So, this is how I was raised ... Motown, Joe and Eddy, Earth, Wind and Fire, Red Foxx, Martin Luther King, Willy Mays, Joe Lewis ... etc.

When I was at Muir Jr. high, my friends were listening to Janis Joplin and the Allman brothers and I was like ... who?? Because I was listening to KDAY and anything else with a beat; Parliment, 4 Tops, Smokey, Bootsie Collins, NWA, Public Enemy, etc etc

In the 80s I tutored a gal and we would meet at LAVC in the parking lot. I had just bought Public Enemy's latest drop and was listening to Fight the Power. She pulled up and said, What are you doing? That's for Black people; turn it off! Nope, it's for me, too as was/is NWA, Tupac, Nas, Biggy Smalls, Missy Elliot ... I ♥ them all!

I also like that the senior generations in Black and Native American families are storytellers to the younger generations.

My Mom cried during the Kennedy and MLK assisnations, the Watts riots as did my gramps; it's something I've never forgotten. Full circle that Mallory sang, God Is, at Maya Angelou's memorial service.

I also enjoy Filipinos and Armenians; more or less the same as my childhood ... family family family food song dance cooking talking. Love it!

I really embrace Middle Easterners, again, for the food and togetherness and the music and dancing! Wow!

I lean towards the cultures that are Patriarchal or male dominated. I really like machismo men; Policia de Mexicano 😍 with gold bars!

Romance: Most have been Mexicano and Libras, but I've dated all types of Asians, Middle East, Black; all 3 marriages were white (prolly where I went wrong). lol

91 was white and a Libra. I am an Aries-Rooster, get along best with Libra-Dragons.

My personality type: Type A personality, assertive, extrovert, perfectionist, need symmetry, visual & tactal learner, caretaker, enabler, codependent, garden variety type ass kissing people-pleaser, put others before myself. And I love to win. Somehow, I turned out to be competitive. Oh yea, I am vindictive. I tried to rationalize it away, but going back to age 3, I will hurt feelings; going for the jugular (shit). True, sadly true. I forgot that I have a grandiose sense of entitlement; thanks Grandma for raising me with unrealistic ideals. smh.

My first husband bought a practice in the desert without consulting me so I had 3 affairs πŸ’. My feeling is that if you're spouse is not keeping you happy someone else will. And if it hadn't of been me with 91 it would've been someone else, so I went for it!

The ironies of my life:

BPD bringing me up and BPD taking me out.

My love for pharmacy only to be killed with drugs.

My dad working on helicopters then having one harass and drug me every night.

Mack's favorite band is Pink Floyd, his favorite song, Wish you were here, played back to back with my favorite song.

Mack looks like David Gilmour; uncanny resemblance

Both my kids love Doc Martens, Converse, and Vans and are also caretakers that love, love music (they really had no choice πŸ˜‚).

My brother had a house built in Stevenson Ranch, his street name is my favorite author.

All the pharmacies, that I worked at were Jewish owned. Sadly, I didn't learn of my Jewish ancestry until 2004, after I left the field. By then all the owners had passed away, so I never got to celebrate or nosh with them.

When Mallory was about 3 she took ice skating lessons with Ice Tea's son 🎢 ⛸️ at Pickwick Ice Rink.

I grew up in the former house of Burbank Fire Chief Forbes πŸš’

It's "antimicrobial week", microbes my 2nd choice for a Pharmacy residency (Oncology #1 & "Blue light therapy" [Neonates #3]) ... blue light therapy ... jfc.

Peeves or dislikes:

Inequalities, injustices, prejudice, racism, police corruption, period!

Regrets:

Nope, else I wouldn't have my kidlets, it's that simple. They have brought so much joy and laughter into this world, and they're just getting started. Somewhere, deep down inside I know they love me and will figure out that they were lied to because no one brings to the table what I did "just because" or as "some act". They are the real victims in this mess, let down by everyone, mostly PD and their dad; greedy, evil people with agenda, motive, opportunity, and the "know how" to implement a plan of action. #GodsWatchingAndWaitingForYou

Favorite quotes:

"If Not Me, Who? If Not Now, When?" is the shortened version of: “If I am not for myself, who will be for me? But if I am only for myself, what am I?

"Carpe diem"

"It's better to give than receive"

"On any given day you're either the student or the teacher"

Bunnyisms:

🐰Life's messy; Have affairs '91

🐰Kiss my white pharmacy ass '88

"Life's Lessons"

1. Telling the truth & being honest doesn't mean anything.

2. The sugarcoated crap that my parents fed me, was just that; crap!  The real speakers of the truth are people like NWA, Public Enemy, Tupac, & Sly and the Family Stone; all it takes is one lie told by someone of a preferable color and gender and you can lose your life!

3. There is evil and abuse of power that honesty can"t compete with.

4. People lie and hustle to save and make a dollar.

5. Racism exists.

6. Rappers speak truth and reality that society tries to sweep under the carpet; from the streets to corporate America.

7. The best straws you can grasp are those of "love of G.d and self". Without them you won't be able to give and help others.

8. Love beats hate.

9. There are always opportunities to help someone if you just look.

10. AA works.

11. The Beatles and the Stones were right; All you need is love & You can't always get what you want (😎 πŸ‡²πŸ‡½)

12. Better than any drug or any drink; giving is better than receiving.

13. There is nothing hotter than a Mexican man in a police uniform.

14. The people you would expect not to lie are liars.

15. Live each day like it's your last day; to the fullest. (Recommended to me by a Stage 4 Onco patient, Tarzana hospital).

16. Some people are just fucking assholes, brace yourself & be prepared.

17. The "bestest" good and the "worstest" evil ... in my life ... Burbank Police Department.

18. You can't fix stupid.

19. The most dangerous thing you can do? Go grocery shopping on an empty stomach!

20. The best way to face life? With the Serenity Prayer. It is the simplest, most basic tool for living.

21. Judge people individually, not as a group. (I love cops, but not all of them).

Regrets

1. Not having more sex with more cops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If I had to choose one song to describe my life:

"Blasphemous Rumors" by Depeche Mode

"Ironic" by Alanis Morissette

*******Good Riddance*******

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time
I hope you had the time of your life
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while
I hope you had the time of your life
I hope you had the time of your life
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right
So take the photographs and still frames in your mind
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right

                       ~my life~

[i carry your heart with me(i carry it in]

                  🐰♥πŸ€—πŸ‘«πŸ˜ŽπŸ‡²πŸ‡½
i carry your heart with me
(i carry it in my heart)
i am never without it
(anywhere i go you go, my dear;
and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear no fate
(for you are my fate,my sweet)
i want no world
(for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

Where Generics Kick Arse

7-Eleven has some great items that are just as good, if not better. Tweezers are great for tightening eyeglass screws and other uses.

CVS has amazing their brand items that are actually better than brand names; so surprising to me.
