Hopelessness


Hopelessness is a feeling of despair or lack of hope that life can't improve, or that you can't succeed. It can be a symptom of a mental health issue, like depression. When you feel hopeless, you might:

Stop looking forward to things you normally enjoy

Pull back from your life and avoid doing things you usually enjoy

Have trouble getting out of bed in the morning

Have trouble enjoying time with friends

Have trouble focusing on work or hobbies 

Alienation: Feeling forgotten or excluded by others

Forsakenness: Feeling abandoned by others

Lack of inspiration: Feeling blocked or unable to be creative

Powerlessness: Feeling like you have no influence or impact on others

Oppression: Feeling like you're not being treated fairly or equally
