OSide feb-mar 🪐🌔

In late February/early March 2026, you can spot multiple planets from Oceanside, California, particularly with a clear view of the western horizon just after sunset. Venus, Mercury, and Saturn are visible to the naked eye, while Jupiter remains bright in the sky, and binoculars may reveal Uranus and Neptune.

Best Tips for Viewing in Oceanside (Feb/March 2026):

Timing: Roughly 30 to 60 minutes after sunset is best, as the planets will be low on the horizon.

Location: Find an elevated, dark spot with an unobstructed view west over the Pacific Ocean. Oceanside Harbor is a good option.

Visibility: Venus will be bright and low. Mercury will be nearby but dimmer. Saturn will appear close to them.

Other Options: Palomar Observatory and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park offer darker skies for better viewing if you can travel outside the city.
